Rosalie Mae Howerton Green 86 of DuQuoin, IL. died at 3:12 AM Sunday, Oct 5, 2003 in Marshall Browning Hospital, in DuQuoin.
Rosalie was born on April 15,1917 in St. Johns, IL., the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Fred) Howerton. She married Robert A. Rudloff, Feb. 22, 1937, who died, in 1958 and Lester Green, Jun 16, 1973 and he preceded her in death on Nov 25 1995. Before retiring Rosalie worked in the dietary department of Marshall Browning Hospital, and was an active member of the first Baptist Church of DuQuoin.
Survivors include four stepchildren, Avis Green, Morris Green, Frank Green, and Carolyn Harrison, four nieces Sheila Metton, Crystal Kwasman, Cathy Markee and Mona Huhges.two nephews Mark Howerton, and Bruce Howerton. Two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Howerton and Betty Howerton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a stepchild Vera Selby, brothers Loren Howerton and Ray Howerton. Services will be held at 2pm Tuesday, Oct. 7,2003 at the Pyratt-Harrawood and Epplin,138 E. Perry St.in DuQuoin,with the Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating. Interment will be Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin.
