Lawrence Brownlow Howerton, 76, of Crossville, TN passed away April 29, 2001. Funeral services were conducted May 2 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bill Debusk officiated.
Mr. Howerton was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Knox County, TN, the son of Brownlow and Catherine Howerton.
He was a job estimator. He was veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of VFW Post No. 6277.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Howerton of Crossville; daughter, Kay Howerton of Knoxville; son, Russell Howerton of Knoxville; and stepdaughters, Debbie McCroskey of Knoxville and Sandra Wooten of Anchorage, AK.
He is also survived by two brothers – Clayton Howerton of Springfield, Ohio and Glen Howerton of Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brownlow and Catherine Howerton; and a daughter, Judy Howerton.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
