WILSONVILLE, IL- Jo Ann L. Howerton, 84, of Wilsonville died Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Heritage Manor in Staunton.
She was born Jan. 23, 1922, in Wilsonville, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Fassero Bertetto. She married George H. Howerton in 1941 in St. Charles, Mo.; he died in 1998. A son, Robert Howerton, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Howerton graduated from Gillespie High School in 1939. She was a homemaker and operated the Roller Derby in Litchfield.
Survivors: two daughters, Edna Mae Allred and Georgia Ann Pitchford, both of Wilsonville, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie, Monsignor Larry Auda officiating. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie.
