Summary of the Fourth Annual Howerton Reunion

Saturday, October 18, 2003

Held at Springdale School on Highway 25E in Claiborne County, Tennessee

We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Fay Barnard, Jean Barnard, Wilma Howerton and Charles (Chuck) Howerton for all of their hard work in helping hold the reunion.THANK YOU, WE REALLY APPRECIATE YOU!

Rev. Curtis (Curt) Reed said the prayer before we ate. Thank you, Rev. Reed.

After lunch, we had a drawing for a door prize, and the winner was Richard Howerton from Street, MD. Four other prizes were then awarded. Mable Smith traveled the farthest, over 700 miles from Glenwood, Arkansas. J.P. Barnard was the oldest man present, 77 years. Grace Howerton Stubblefield was the oldest woman present, 87 years.And little Noah Howerton won the prize for the youngest one there, 3 years.

We sadly missed Ethel Howerton Mullins this year as she passed away October 3, 2003. Obituary.
